Anthony Ciabattoni, the Db2 for z/OS SWAT team lead, will discuss customer use and the evolution of Db2 DDF access from its infancy to a mature OLTP transactional model that organizations rely on today. Joining Anthony will be Vince Rabsat, Db2 AI for z/OS software developer.

Also, on the agenda is how to better manage DDF threads through profiles via Db2 AI for z/OS. Db2 AI for z/OS uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance the performance, efficiency, and reliability of Db2 databases on IBM Z mainframes. It simplifies database management by automating tasks and optimizing query performance, helping organizations manage their data more effectively.

The webcast will focus on best practices for configuring and exploiting a high volume DDF infrastructure for high availability and optimal performance including the use of high performance DBATs.

This session will describe proven methods to defensively configure a high volume DDF environment to promote high availability, efficient usage and properly identify and annotate distributed transactions.
