Don't miss this exclusive opportunity to go behind closed doors with X-Force Red, IBM Security’s team of elite hackers.

The X-Force Red hackers have found a new zero-day vulnerability that could put millions of internet-connected devices at risk of a compromise. The research will be revealed at the team’s upcoming virtual conference, Red Con, on August 19, 2020.

The zero-day presentation will be one of many tracks presented at the virtual conference. The security landscape continues to change dramatically, and for many companies, the majority of employees are now working from home full-time, including the security team. Attack techniques and tools have shifted, focusing more on the remote work environment. New vulnerabilities have arisen, as they typically do whenever there is a change in the environment.

Navigating today’s environment reminds us of the importance of education, collaboration and innovation across the security team, which is what Red Con 2020 aims to achieve.

On August 19 from 10am - 2pm EST, X-Force Red invites you to watch in-depth technical and executive sessions presented by the team’s senior hackers. In addition to the zero-day research, other topics include:

  • New attack tools and techniques, built by X-Force Red’s hackers, and how they can be used to discover high risk vulnerabilities
  • A dissection of recent well-known and not-so-well-known data breaches and how the attackers achieved their objectives
  • Common attack techniques and tools used to compromise Automated Teller Machines (ATMs)
  • How the threat and vulnerability landscape has shifted due to remote work
  • Research about the state of vulnerability management on-premises and in the cloud
  • Tools used by live streaming companies that may be putting them in danger of a compromise
