The design of many of today’s business-critical Z applications involve components from multiple disciplines, including IMS, CICS, Db2, and MQ. This places a premium on having visibility into the rich z/OS measurement data produced by all these disciplines and on staff members who can operate with at least some level of proficiency across multiple disciplines. This is the fourth in a series of 2025 IBM Z IntelliMagic Academy webinars designed to help today’s Z performance analysts and infrastructure specialists grow their skills and expertise across disciplines. These webinars present performance concepts to the broad Z technical community and are especially designed to introduce those concepts to audiences who are not currently specialists in that field. We welcome IBM Washington Systems Center IMS expert Suzie Wendler as one of the presenters for this webinar. Suzie regularly works with customers to enhance performance and availability of their IMS environments and is a frequent conference speaker. This webinar will introduce you to how you can leverage analysis of IMS transaction and checkpoint statistics data to enhance performance and availability in your environment. This session is designed for IT professionals, performance analysts, and system administrators who are looking to enhance analysis of their IMS environments with special focus on broadening the understanding of those who are specialists in domains other than IMS.Key speakersTodd Havekost, IntelliMagic Z Performance Consultant, IBMTodd Havekost is an IntelliMagic Z Performance Consultant with IBM.
