  • 1.  XTS1061E: TCP/IP Connection refused

    Posted Fri July 25, 2003 03:32 PM

    Hello,

I’ve installed Tamino 4.1.4 on Windows 2000 Server and get the following error when I try to open a database…

Failed to create XTS directory service entries: XTS1061E: TCP/IP Connection refused

    Please advise.

    Thanks,
    Jim McDowall

    Hi Jim,
I had the same error two days ago!
If its the same reason (bad version mix of the accompanying exx and tamino xts’s) the solution is to go through the XTS installation by “modify” in control-panel.
The description below is the readme.txt file from the “Extended Transport Service” subdir.
    regards Finn
    -----------
The XTS install will not overlay an installed version which is newer than the
the installing XTS. The previous install may not have configured all
desireable XTS services required by the installing product. In such a case
the following service configuration steps should be performed:

Migrate to the Control Panel Add/remove programs applet
    Start->Settings->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs
Select the “Software AG Extended Transport Service” item
    Click the “Change” control button
    Select the “Modify” option
    Click the “Next” control
Complete the XTS Service Configuration screens displayed.
