Xdmcp query returns "localhost" not hostname

    I have been trawling google for a while now trying to figure out why in the Xwin32 XDMCP Selector list my AIX LPAR is displaying "localhost (1 user, load:0.0 0.0 0.0)"
    `hostname` returns "odlabaix53-2.thedomain.com" and nslookup returns its IP address (i.e. its in the dns records). IP was assigned via DHCP and /etc/netsvc.conf has "hosts: local bind".
    The closest looking file was Xaccess but I couldn't spot anything that would address this.

    I'm sure its something simple (like /etc/nodename under solaris) that you just have to know..... but I don't.

    Can anyone help me out?
