We have WTX Trading Manager 8.2.1.7, where message manager system maps are running in Linux server right now. This system currently using update.mdq file to connect trading manager database(Oracle) tables. 

Here we got a situation to change message manage tree (x12mail.mtt) and we deployed entire systems again in Linux server  without touching update.mdq file. Some how the very first trigger map and all other maps were not able to identify earlier update.mdq file so not  processing even a single inbound/outbound maps. Later I have moved old main trigger map  to server location and after recycle it got picked up inbound files, but again it failed at run map call with calling update.mdq files.

Finally we thought to deploy the entire system including mdq and we successfully did. However again it worked successfully with the changes that are made in x12mail.mtt. 

Now my question is, shall we always need to deploy the mdq file along with message manager systems changes happen ?
