Subject: Wrong hour on Android Devices
Hi David
The mobile network operators set time which is configured centrally and pushed to mobile devices.
If mobile devices are set to accept date/time from the network, then the device will accept.
There are actually 2 settings you can configure in Android Enterprise - assuming your devices are already enrolled into AE.
1. Security > Device Security > Enforce network date and time
This means the network decides the time and changes it automatically for summer/winter time changes.
2. Restrictions > Device Features > Disable Date & Time Configuration
If enabled, this prevents the user from changing date and time on device.
Hope this helps.
PS if you need to justify this to users from a business context - any database systems or systems which record data from users on their mobile devices to centralised servers, work better where transaction date/time can be configured to happen automatically, this prevents issues with differences in time zone or time which can 'throw' some systems.

Subject: Wrong hour on Android Devices
Hi team, maybe some of you know some mobile devices have been affected by changes from winter to summer time in some cities, for example here in Mexico mobile devices are showing an incorrect time because in the center-south cities they no longer winter/summer time changes apply. Can something be done from MaaS360 to correct this affectation on Android devices? Any policy that can be applied to set a specific time zone or time? Thanks in advance. Regards.
