I have created the workflow in the Incident level to add the task, But task is getting added however workflow is not getting completed. in the action when i trigger the Workflow the status is showing "running" and its not getting completed.

I think you may need to mark the task as completed for the workflow to be terminated.

Thanks for the reply Pierre, i have closed the incident and checked, unfortunately status is just changing to "suspended" not completed.

As pierre said , you need to mark the task as complete, to do that you need to navigate to tasks tab under the incident and click on the check mark inside a circle. see attached.
