wM Process model & Workflow(BPM) behaviour in wM migration of 8.2 to 9.8

    Hello Everyone,

As we have a wM upgrade(8.2.2 to 9.x) coming up, we would like to know from your experience do we need to follow any specific guidelines for Process model migration? Are there any known issues and points to be considered during migration of BPM component?

As of today, our process models are working as expected in 8.2.2 which were initially developed in 7.x and being migrated to 8.2.2 without any changes.

Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions here.

    Hello Rahul

You can run the DB COnfigurator to upgrade the 8.2 Database schemas to 9.8.
Then install the IS,and Process engine and connect to the upgraded database.

This way you retain the 8.2 Process instances data too.

(To be on the safe side you can use a clone of the 8.2 database )

Your old 8.2 designer workspaces will get automatically get upgraded to 98 as soon as you connect to it from a 98 designer.(This is irrevocable so take a backup of your projects )

    Hope this helps
    Varghese
