    • WebSphere MQ 8

We are planning to upgrade Windows Server 2016, but would like to stay with WTX 8.4.1 for the moment
Also MQ 8 is going out of support early 2020, we would go to MQ 9.

    1. I checked the compatibility reports through https://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27043907.
Neither Windows Server 2016 nor MQ 9 are listed as supported with WTX 8.4.1.
Does anyone have any experience on this combination?

    2. Does anyone have experience in doing an in-place Windows upgrade and the result on the WTX and MQ installations?

    Thank you very much.

I was able to run the final script manually in a Command Prompt (opened as Administrator) and then the Design Studio started and functioned normally.

You should achieve better results with an in-place upgrade.

    Thank you.
