  • 1.  Windows 7 Enterprise - Broker issue

    Hi,

    We are trying to install webMethods broker 8.0 in our machine (OS - Windows 7 Enterprise).

    During broker installation the installer tries to start the broker but it is not started because of this error.

    Unable to open connection to host ‘localhost’. Error ‘java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect’ was reported by the socket call.

    Tried starting this way too.
    F:\SoftwareAG8\Broker\bin>broker_start localhost:4449

    Hi,

    I have got the same issue in windows XP a long back in webMethods 7.1.At that time i have checked the in c;/windows/activesw/awbroker.cng file and found that broker port is used by other resource.please make sure port 4449 is free
