  • 1.  Wincollect - 'MMC Could not create the snap-in' error

    Successfully installed the wincollect agent but getting error when trying to open the wincollect console. Tried to go though the url availble on IBM website but the inside url seems to be broken (https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/qradar-wincollect-%E2%80%9Cmmc-could-not-create-snap).

    Any idea?

    Error : 'MMC Could not create the snap-in'

    You need .Net framework v3.5 and Microsoft Management Console (MMC) v3.0 or more to run the configuration console. You're missing one of those.

    As Raphaël mentioned, even though you might have .NET 4.x enabled, you should have .NET 3.5 enabled as well. I'd suggest uninstalling WinCollect, adding .NET and installing WinCollect afterwards.
