  • 1.  Will old message flows run on ACEv11?

    We have old WMBv6 and WMBv7 message flows; will they run on ACEv11? Or do they need to be re-engineered before they can be migrated?

    The short answer is "maybe"  Since you're migrating from version 6 and 7 Flows, you are jumping over a number of intermediate releases.  Some minor modifications may be required due to changes in protocols (JMS protocol levels, etc.).  You will need some testing with any migration of this type.  You can:

    • Deploy the BAR files directly to the ACE environment and see if they run successfully.  If they don't, you can:
    • Import the Project Interchange (PI) files into the new Toolkit, correct any errors, build a new BAR file, and deploy that.  If that still doesn't work then:
    • You are in standard upgrade debugging mode.  It will take the normal debugging.  The changes are most likely to be around protocol changes and/or version modifications.
