    I try to create histograms and they keep coming out with small spaces between them and I know I am doing it correctly. yet they do create properly

    Are you sure that you are not actually creating bar charts? If you are using the Chart Builder (GGRAPH), and the variable measurement level is categorical (nominal or ordinal), you will see gaps.

    If that isn't the problem, you can edit the histogram and set the bar properties, including the border, to eliminate gaps. You can save those edits as a template to avoid the need to edit each chart.
