First, be sure that SPSS is closed.
Then, try this:
1. Open a command window (Start menu > type cmd in the search)
2. In the window that comes up, copy and paste the first one below, then press <Enter>, then the other, and press <Enter>:
reg delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs /F
reg delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs /F
3. Re-start SPSS. Let's see if that clears things up.
Let's see if that has any effect.

Subject: Why has my toolbar on SPSS changed? How can I restore it's original state?
Hi,
Thank Rick for your response.
i have tried to attach the picture of my current toolbar again, hopefully that has worked now! I am working on Windows and using IBM SPSS statistics V.28.
Would appreciate any insight into what may be going on,
KR

Hi. I can't see the image you attached. What version of SPSS are you running? Are you on Mac or Windows?

Hi all,
My toolbar options have somehow changed on SPSS. The 'analyze' functions have simplified, I can no longer see options to 'compare means' and 'descriptive statistics'. Any ideas about how to go about resolving this issue?
I have attached a picture of what my analyze function currently looks like:

Would really appreciate any advice regarding this issue!
