  • 1.  Why can we create FTP Port at IS server

    Posted Mon February 19, 2018 03:38 AM

    Dear all
As i know, I can create a flow service to Login…get/put and Logout with FTP
But when i access to IS server, at Security–>Port, I also saw Add new Port with webMethods/FTP

    1. Anyone explain to me why can we create FTP Port at IS server.
    2. At Config FTP Port in IS Server, i saw two optionals: bind address and Passive Mode Listen Address
Could you explain to me about two optionals

    Hi Nguyen,

please see IS Administrators Guide for further informations.

When using services from pub.client.ftp-Folder in WmPublic package this can be used to handle data in external FTP(S) servers.
When using the port feature in IS, the IS will act as a FTP(S) server, where files can be send to which will be processed by flow services.

For SFTP there are only services in pub.client.sftp-Folder available, but there is no possibility to setup a SFTP-Port.

    Regards,
    Holger

    Hi Nguyen,

as we have never worked with FTP or FTPS Ports I cannot tell much about this.

IS Administrators Guide can be accessed either via Empower or via the documentation section of the TechCommunity (see under Forums in the Header of the forums page).

    Regards,
    Holger
