  • 1.  Which tests?

    Posted 12/22/22 09:15 AM
    Hi all.
    Can anyone advise?
    I have 3 different samples of material. The samples are subject to four different loads (N) and they are all affected by temperature and humidity. I want to run tests for how load, temp and humidity affect survival

    Is there any test that can do this in one go or do I have to split them into load groups/ material groups etc.

    Thanks

    OK, it sounds to me like the equation is

    Survival = Sample(1,3) + Load(1,4) + temperature + humidity.

    What is not clear is whether Load is a within-subjects factor or not. I assume so, that you have 4 measurements of load for each sample, like this: for example:

    Case Sample Load1 Load2 Load3 Load4 Temperature Humidity
    1 1 3 2 5 6 60 55
    2 1 2 4 7 8 62 57

    etc. for other cases

    Regardless, consider using the GLM procedure for this; do not split them up into separate groups unless you have some statistical or hypothesis-driven reason for doing so.
