    Hi Team,

    Can anybody help me from where to start the training for Guardium, as I want to develop expertise in Guardium to help the customers in doing implementation and manage their products.

    There is a whole load of training material that is freely available within the IBM Security Learning Academy for Guardium.  Hopefully the following link will get you started on your path to become a Guardium expert:

    If you haven't already, check out the Getting Started with Guardium, Guardium User, and Guardium Administrator learning roadmaps at https://www.securitylearningacademy.com/local/navigator/index.php?level=dsds01. They are a good place to begin learning.

    Hi Chris,

    Thanks for sharing the details.

    In Security Learning Academy there's a whole loads of courses but there's not any course I can find in which it's explained what exactly is a Guardium and why it's used.
    In the roadmap in Getting Started with Guardium it's directly talking me to the deployment courses which is helpful only when the basics are cleared.

    Can you help me with the above so that it's easy for me to get started.

    Hi Ashyen,

    The Why Guardium course was recently published. It tells a high level story about why Guardium is a critical to your overall security strategy. It does not get into the details about the different data sources you can use to monitor your environment.

    I would suggest starting with videos at the Security Learning Academy.  There is only 1 formal 3 day training class I found that was very helpful in pulling a lot of information together. Search in your favorite search engine  for  " IBM Security Guardium (V11) Foundations" .  A number of training providers offer it.  I took it through ExitCertified along with 2 others from my company  and we three were the only ones in the class.

    Even after the class, there is alot to wrap your head around to really start to understand the capabilities of the product.
