Where do you think the future of IoT is going? What can we expect to see more of in the next 5-10 years? What will we see less of?

We will certainly need to see a beefing up of home router security.  That is going to be necessary.

Possibly personal level managed services options.

Those are the big things for me!

From my perspective IoT is going in the direction of human performance and measures. For example, space exploration to other planets will require teams that can respond more efficiently to situations. Monitoring these human factors is mission critical as it could impact the success of a mission and it could affect the lives of astronauts.

Great responses, guys. I definitely think we'll see more IoT around the home - both in terms of keeping our homes secure and having control over the functions in/around our home, at the touch of a button, from anywhere. 

With all the space movies coming out over the past few years (Interstellar, The Martian), it would be cool if some of those technologies come into existence. Looking forward to the one this winter - The Space Between Us. Seems like some technological improvements could be made there. Anyway, I know those are just movies and not real life!
