When i do tar -cvf and tar -xvf it show different size

  • 1.  When i do tar -cvf and tar -xvf it show different size

    AIX version : 7.2.4.2

    Command : /directory_old -> /directory_new

    I did command tar -cvf /directory_old to tar -xvf /directory_new then it has different file size

    As is : 2.35GB

    To be : 4.01GB

    Is it possible??
