    Hey!

    There is a Wiki-style link: "tab:tab name/report name"

    What is the tab component here? 

    is it a report collection ? (OR) is it a tab component within a report? (OR) something else entirely

    Those are a legacy artifact of how report nesting worked in R11.  In R12, tabs still exist as they come in from the out of the box content.  Wiki Style navigation isn't really used much in the product anymore as most use cases have been addressed via the report drill dialogue.  Is there a reason you are interested in Wiki-Sytle links?
