    My first question is do you have to???  Many of our enterprise customers are not storing data on the device due to privacy and confidentiality concerns.  If the data is small, you may be able to encrypt it and store in a local store if building a mobile web application.  Doing so really requires native support and we are looking into what it would take to provide this solution across devices more generically.  IBM already has this capability in its products (e.g. Cognos) so we believe we know what it would take.
