Quantum superposition is the heart of encrypted channels that exchange data in a way that is not just fully secret, but it also tell if someone is attempting to eavesdrop. There are commercial products that do this, using entanglement, which must include superposition.
A major revolution in certain computing, the quantum computer, stored its data as Q-bits, which are a superposition of 1 and 0. Those are not working reliably yet, but there are expectations that in just a few years quantum computers will be available and on certain problems they will perform extremely fast: one quantum computer could exceed all existing computers combined. A quantum computer could decode secret text we use today for our secure login, althoug hit will not be able to decipher the secret communication mensioned above.
