    There is no 1 good source for ESQL best practices, but here are a few links:

    1. https://www.imwuc.org/blog/ibm-integration-bus-development-best-practice-flow-hopping
    2. https://www.imwuc.org/blog/ibm-integration-bus-(iib)-development-good-practice-avoid-field-by-field-copying
    3. and if you google you will find a few more.

    Also remember that it very often depends on the particular scenario as well.
