Welcome to the IBM Security Community! My name is Wendy Batten and I am the Community Manager for IBM Security.

When we polled our clients and partners during our user group meetings, they cited the ability to network with peers as the number one benefit of the event. We heard you. Our new platform will help you learn about local user group meetings while staying connected to the broader, global community. Our community will be founded on the guiding principle of collaboration. Opening the channels of communication and encouraging collaboration between organizations is a step in the right direction to improving cyber security. The bad guys have built an ecosystem that thrives on collaboration and information sharing, we want to help the good guys.

We hope to bring our clients and experts together in our IBM Security Community to help meet these challenges, share best practices and provide a platform to enable peer-to-peer communication - and ultimately help each other meet the business challenges that many of us face. We are just starting out, and want your participation and feedback for how to get our group growing and thriving. Feedback is essential and we welcome it!
