    I installed based on the download with v8.2.

    Launcher Studio shows Management Console, Snapshot Viewer and Launcher Monitor.

    Launcher shows all three of above and Command server, Launcher Admin, and Resource Registry.

    Is studio just part of Launcher?

    Launcher Studio is just the management and monitoring tools - no Launcher or Command Server. If you wanted to manage your Launcher installation from another box, you could just install the Launcher Studio to do that.
