Have anyone tried using the new Websphere FTP adapter which is available in WTX 8.2

Also, can anyone provide the information how to run the websphere ftp inbound polling from the command server.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

if you want to use the Websphere FTP Adapter as inbound, you need additional IBM stuff. Please check out this site:

    http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27006249

    Here you can see:
IBM WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus Version 6.1
IBM WebSphere Process Server Version 6.1
    or
IBM WebSphere Integration Developer Version 6.1

You can't use it in the old way (confirmed by IBM support). If you don't want to install additional software, you have to use the deprecated ftp adapter.

    Best regards

Whilst it is true that Websphere TX 8.2 cannot do this, Websphere TX 8.3 can.

Websphere TX 8.3 is able to use the Websphere FTP adapter via the Command Server to retrieve a directory listing from an FTP server and also retrieve a file from an FTP server.

I will post an example here shortly.

    Thank-you.

I tried the same with IBM Websphere Transformation Extender V8.2.0.4 IF3 and it worked.

However, would you know if it is possible to use wildcards in the filename we want to download? For example: -is:filename test*.zip

When I'm trying this, I got the below error:

FATAL: CWYFT0102E: An error occurred while validating the function name: null. It is not a valid value.
