GOAL: To download, install, and run for 20 yearsfree , a free version of Websphere v8.5x (or v9.x) , on my Develper Laptop

MACHINE: Macbook Pro. Intel. MackOS 10.15.7 (Catalina)

STEP_1: I manged to download and install the "IBM Download Manager App"

* When it first came up, the App displayed a hyperlink, to where I can add Repositories.

* I added a Repository.

* However, I later discovered I added a Paid repo ... that I am not enabled for

* I am searching for Where (what file) the Repos list is stored in.

* I bet that file is encrypted ... and NOT, grep-able

STEP_2: I try to directly download a Free / Liberty version of WebSphere

* This attemped download fails.

* I can't figure out the next steps

Hello, I don't think there are any free versions of Websphere Liberty. There is a free trial: https://www.ibm.com/ie-en/cloud/websphere-liberty

Were you told that there is a free version available?
