Detailed explanation of the problem:

API Gateway is not starting up. After starting up the instance I get the message to wait 30min for the instance to start up. The instance however never starts up. I have tried several time since last week to start it up.

If you stay on the same “API GW startup” screen and keep on refreshing it, it’ll always display the same message (that you have to wait for up to 30 minutes.)
You need to come back to the initial API GW login screen.

I did wait for 30 minutes but it never started up.

About an hour after posting this message it started up though.
