  • 1.  Webmethods FTP capabilities

    Posted 08/09/04 04:58 PM

    Hello,

I got a couple of basic questions about webMethods FTP capabilities.

    1. Does webMethods FTP provide a guaranteed delivery of the data or it’s like a regular FTP?

    2. Is it asyncronous or not?

    3. How scalable is it?

    Any input would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Mark,

If you are using webMethods built-in FTP services (pub.client:ftp),ftp folder these behaves same like regular FTP process.

If you are using TradingNetworks Delivery Method like selecting (primary FTP or secondary FTP)protocols this can be configured such a way to retry the process until the FTP TASK is success.(GD).

Basically the webMethods FTP process can be made asynchronous/synchronous mode.
