    Hi Everyone,

I was looking for webMethods free trial version to download and do some POC on my local.

Is IBM providing new trial versions, latest or any older version to download?

i am also looking for the same as well.

I remember last time when still with Software AG, there was a trial version which we can download and try.

But now since moving to IBM, we are not able to find it out.

    Thank you,
    Fanny T

    For sure IBM does.  👍

    SaaS trials go for:   https://www.ibm.com/products/webmethods-integration
At the top right corner you find:

If you are looking for Software Licenses (aka ONPREM) you can go for this:  Download IBM webMethods Service Designer
    More details at:  LINK

For more details you can also contact the IBM SALES team:  Click "Contact us" on
    https://www.ibm.com/products/webmethods-hybrid-integration/pricing#

    I hope that helps.

    Hi Holm,

Thank you very much for the clue.

Looks like this is the one. However somehow i cannot register with my email.

It said: "Please use another email id to register for this trial".

Does anyone experience the same result?

    Thank you.

You can download out developer tools from here

    webMethods Service Designer [download]

It is fully featured and has no time limit, includes everything to develop integration, connectors, implement test cases, debug, test and execute.

It comes bundled with the JDBC connector, but you can also download any of our connectors from IBM webMethods Package Registry

Hi John, many thanks for the link to the Designer's download. Really appreciate it.

Just wondering whether this Designer is supporting backward compatibility with old webmethods version?

Yes, you can develop packages for 10.15, but be careful to avoid using 11.1 specific features. You will also need to adjust the property target_server_version in the manifest.v3 file of any package created in this version of service Designer.

As of 11.1 we now explicitly set this property to the current version for any new packages. You can adjust it to flag which version of webMethods that you are targetting with the package, and importantly it is used by the wpm command to verify before installing. In other words if you try to install a package using wpm that is marked for 11.1 into a 10.15 instance, wpm will balk and error our indicating the the targer version must be equal or higher.

    regards
