webmethods Business Rule Process Action

    Am trying to use the Process action feature of webMethods Business Rule(wM Version 9.5).
    Interested in “The action- Join a running process”. does this allow me to join a selected step of a process? or how the action selects the step to merge?
    Even am not getting any IS Document to be selected from while implementing. Has anybody experienced this scenario?
