We are moving from webMethods 6.5 to webMethods 8.0. Did any one make this transition?
Are there any development changes that need to be made.

So far i found that the LDAP services under WmPublic/pub.ldap have been removed in 8.0 and now you have the services only under WmPublic/pub.client.ldap.

You might want to check the WmTN and WmEDI packages too for any changes.

→ No critical changes in the standard packages apart from 8.0 SP1 version enhancements.

Looks like they added bunch of services under pub.file which were earlier available through PSUtilities or WmSamples. Last but not least SAG finally added the service pub.utils:executeOSCommand in the WmPublic package, kudos.

I hope they add some service to calculate the fileage of a file or folder. Currently i have to get the timestamp on the file\folder and then subtract from the current time and determine the file age (file polling…thats a different story though).

Even the datastore directory is missing in the 8.0 installation.
