I did a straw poll on LinkedIn with the hashtags #tm1 #planninganalytics with the simple question:

In your organisation, how do you refer to TM1/Planning Analytics?

Around 80% of the 63 respondents said TM1.

People are confused and misled by this terminology duality. For this and other reasons, I suggest retiring the 6-syllable, confusing name and reverting to TM1.

TM1 is used as much, if not more, for financial reporting as it is for planning.
Why persist, then, with what appears to be just a marketing nomenclature?

    With regards,

Ian Digby (16 years TM1 consultant/analyst, worked in many large TM1 implementations)

Even more confusing when the new PAfE functions have been named TM1.... (TM1SET, TM1VAL etc)

    Hi,

When creating a snapshot using Lifecycle Manager in PAW there is a limit of 100 objects. Could this please be increased to say 500, as the 100 limitation is proving to be a real PITA with deployments.

Essentially it means I need to do multiple snapshots, and then when importing the snapshot I have to merge all the books into the correct applications, because some books appear in more than 1 application. You don't see this problem if you have one snapshot.

    regards,

    Mark

    Hi,

I saw the note regarding "End of support for Planning Analytics Workspace Local on Windows Server 2016" and that Mainstream support for Windows Server 2016 ended in January 2022. Currently the only other MS option is Windows Server 2019. Mainstream support for Windows Server 2019 also already ended in January this year.

I wonder therefore what the status on Planning Analytics Workspace on Windows Server 2022 with Mirantis Container Runtime is? When will Windows Server 2022 be supported?

    Thanks!
    Mario

    Thanks Bernd!

I am well aware of the Roadmap and the item you highlighted. I was hoping to get some more details on the topic and how realistic the Q2 target is.

Too bad the question was not addressed, I'll try again in March.

As of today Version 23 is the only supported release of the Mirantis Container Runtime (MCR). 23.0.9 is the current release. It supports Windows Server 2019 and 2022.
All older releases of the MCR have a status of End-Of-Life (EOL), including Version 20.10 being the last release to support Windows Server 2016. Version 20.10 was EOL'd on 2023-12-10.
