  • 1.  Web Service Connector error

    Posted 09/21/12 02:21 PM

    Hi All,
I am trying to create a webservice connector using the wsdl file supplied by the client.
In this process, i get the follow error:

    URL: …\ProxyService_TEST.wsdl
    Path name:
    PortType: OrbiscomProxyServicePortType
    Operation: OrbiscomProxy
    WSDL code: S-9043
    [ISS.0092.9043] Schema Error: 1
    pathName: null
    errorCode: CONV-004
errorMessage: [ISC.0082.9104] WrappedOrbiscomRequest - unable to locate the root element
    identifier: null

    URL: …\ProxyService_TEST.wsdl
    Path name:
    PortType: OrbiscomProxyServicePortType
    Operation: OrbiscomProxy
    WSDL code: S-9032
[ISS.0092.9032] Error: Invalid schema definition for Input signature. Web Service Connector was not created.

Unfortunately I can’t post the wsdl file but I have the follow dubt.
In the wsdl file inside the tag <wsdl:binding is defined the soap binding style as “document” like this:
    <soap:binding style=“document” transport=“http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/http”/>

Is it supported by IS 6.5? Is that the problem?
Just for completeness, we are using IS 6.5 SP3 and actually is installed the Core Fix 26.
    Waiting for your kind reply
    best regards.
    Jonk

It some thing issue in the WSDL itself…Can you check with the originator of the WSDL and see if some thing is missing in the field inputs?

    Hi RMG,
I forgot to say that the wsdl is valid, well-formed and more it works with another tools.
I’m sorry, I see that I give to you few informations about this issue and the error description is a general case, I suppose.
Unfortunately I can’t publish the wsdl code, but just an information more, please.
    Can I use
    <soap:binding style=“document”
    and then
    <soap:body use=“literal”/>
in my wsdl with IS 6.5 SP3?
    Are they supported?
    Thanks.
    Jonk

To me Doc literal style should be supported in 6.5 as well:

Also you might need to install this fix per KB#1614336025:

Advised Customer to apply IS_6-5_SP3_WebSvcsXML_Fix14 and dependent Fixes. This resolved the issue.

Actually we have already installed the IS_6.5_SP3_Core_Fix26 that include it.
    Have you another tip?
    Thanks.

Not a problem…please keep the forum posted any other resolution you find:

You are still on 6.5…better upgrade to post versions 7.x.x or 8.x.x:) to get more product support:
