So what is the problem?
The problem we have, concerns the web based File Manager for z/OS videos.
Most of them are "How to …. Videos" which contain helpful information for are novice File Manager users.
We have links to these video's on our internal KBC website for our developers, who start using File Manager for z/OS. (They watch the video during their training and first steps)
In the month of July, these links still worked perfectly. Now they no longer work and the videos within IBM MediaCenter are without a trace! The channel File Manager for z/OS is empty!!!
At least that's what we see these days. A month ago there were lots off videos containing "How to stuff".
However, the screen shot below from Google clearly shows that they still exist somewhere behind the scenes!!!!
Google search argument : FM/Base chapter under tab > videos
So we thought, we have them back, but if you click on one of the links you have to enter your IBMid and code followed by the an error.
This didn't happen in the past. A login was not required and the video's would open.
We think but we definitely are not sure that the Multi Factor Authentication introduced by IBM somewhere by the end of June has something to do with it. (It is a guess)
And to complete the story, the web based Debug Tools for z/OS training videos are still available as before without a the need for a login procedure.
Debug Tool for z/OS - IBM MediaCenter
That are also training video's somewhere in the MediaCenter.
So it really puzzles us !! File Manager video's not reachable and Debug Tool video's no problem.!
Uh, .... somewhere there is something wrong, the question is where and even more who can fix this error?
And to date, no one at IBM seems to really understand what's going on. (And we've already made some serious efforts.)
