Most likely the WTX maps (and type trees) will have to be duplicated from scratch. It is conceivable but not trivial that if the WDI maps can be exported as structured XML, someone adept using XML tools such as XSLT might be able to convert the file to the XML format used by WTX. The converted XML could then be imported into WTX to create the maps.
WTX also requires data structures called type trees. Many formats can be imported or used directly such as XSDs, COBOL copybooks, database structures, WSDLs, etc. Creation of the type trees would also be a required step in the conversion process.
