    Hi Guys,

what does -startArgs and -stopargs mean in an wasservice.exe command

and as we know Augment means "adding features to one or more existing WebSphere Application Server profiles with WebSphere Business Events functions " how does it works or what does it really means

    manageprofiles.bat -augment -templatePath "C:\Program Files\IBM\WBE701\WAS\profileTemplates\wbe\default" -profileName MyServer01 -cellName myCell01 -nodeName myNode01

    Thank you.

The -startArgs and -stopArgs are used to pass any additional information to the Windows Service manager.  For example if your WAS instance is secured (as it should be :)),  then you could pass the admin and admin password in a -stopArgs command.

This DevWorks article provides a good overview of using the wasservice with windows and WAS -> www.ibm.com/developerworks/websphere/tec...
