  • 1.  WAS/IHS

    Posted Fri March 03, 2023 04:31 AM
    • Detailed system requirements for a specific productでのWAS ND v8.5.5.22検索では、IHSに対するサポート記載にIHSv9.0.5の記載は無し。

    • Announcement FAQ
     Q. What about IHS and ODR, will those be supported until 2030?
     A. IBM intends to support the use of IHS,
Intelligent Management for WebServers (ODRLIB) and the Java On-Demand Router (ODR) with both WAS versions 8.5.5 and 9.0.5 for the life of traditional WAS.
The Java ODR will remain a supported component of WAS ND.
In the case of IHS, we will update the WAS 8.5.5 license to additionally include IHS 9.0 as a supporting program.
This combination is already a supported configuration.
Customers are encouraged to replace their use of IHS 8.5.5 with IHS 9.0 over time.
Service for IHS 8.5.5 will continue at least until 2023,
but only IHS 9.0 will be receiving enhancements including Operating System currency and security improvements such as new TLS functionality.

Web Server Plug-in policy for WebSphere Application Server
    https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/web-server-plug-policy-websphere-application-server

    FAQ: General : ihsdiag documentation
    https://publib.boulder.ibm.com/httpserv/ihsdiag/questions.html

Can IBM HTTP Server release x be used with WebSphere release y, or with plugin from WebSphere release y?
There are two issues of compatibility:

      • The WebSphere plug-in used in the web server must be compatible with the release of WebSphere. A table is provided in the Web server plug-in policy technote.
      • The WebSphere plug-in must be compatible with the release of IBM HTTP Server. The best way to accomplish this is by using the plug-in from the same WebSphere release as IBM HTTP Server.

Refer to this documentation: Web server plug-in policy for WebSphere Application Server

As an example, if you need to support versions 5.1, 6.0, and 6.1 of the application server, you should use IBM HTTP Server 6.1 and the WebSphere 6.1 plugin. (According to the web server plug-in policy, the 6.1 plugin is the only version which supports all three application server versions.
