go to applications -->websphere entireprise applications --> Application_name --> referenes --> resource references
check if all references are mapped .

    Hi Joseph,

Same application is started successfully in WAS 6.1 and WAS 7.0, without any configuration/ settings for starting application.

WAS 8.0 application is not starting.

Is there any changes in WAS 8.0 for application startup.

All other applications are started and working fine, one application having problem.

    Thanks,
    chinna.

    Hi Chinna,

With this type of messages Joseph's suggestion is the best in my opinion.

CNTR0076W: A reference to an ResourceRef could not be found in the deployment descriptor for the WebApp or EnterpriseBean with the display name QaaMultilingual : resRefBindings jndiName="jdbc/qaa3".
[9/10/12 9:20:11:454 GMT-05:30] 00000024 CompNameSpace W   CNTR0076W: A reference to an ResourceRef could not be found in the deployment descriptor for the WebApp or EnterpriseBean with the display name QaaMultilingual : resRefBindings jndiName="null".
[9/10/12 9:20:11:466 GMT-05:30] 00000024 BasicResRefLi W   CNTR0076W: A reference to an ResourceRef could not be found in the deployment descriptor for the WebApp or EnterpriseBean with the display name QaaMultilingual.

Have you try to recompile the application for a WAS 8.0 and redo the EAR? Maybe this application has another components (maybe feature packs) or have a not well formed deployment descriptor.

If you haven't ffdc logs, try to enable traces to see what is happening when this application try to start.

    regards,
