  • 1.  VM subcapacity not being determined

    Some VM's are receiving this comment "Incomplete virtualization hierarchy" although the VM manager is configured and data is available. We have 2 vm managers configured, and it does appear that ILMT is working fine for one, but is getting that messages for the other.

    The connection test status for both VM Managers is "Successful" and operation status is "OK".

    Thank you for your question.

    If ILMT is not able to collect the correct number of processors on an agent it will use the highest number of processors available on the machine. In your VM page there will be TLM_VM_xxxxx which indicates this.

    Please verify the credentials (userid and password) are valid for the VM Manager.     I have verifyed the permission for those credentials and they appear fine. It's the exact same account I'm using for our other vcenter instance and it is working fine there. The account is in the vcenter "Read_only" group I have manually logged in using that account and can see the details of all the VM's having issues.


    Can you please point me to the troubleshooting doc for this or can we set up a webex to work through the issue.

    Please use the following documentation to troubleshoot no vm manager data. If you are not able to resolve, please open a salesforce case through the ibm support portal.
