Hi,

We are doing an ILMT lite installation using disconnected scanners to collect data on our 4 servers. I am a bit confused about which implementation of VM managers I should be doing.

I did a test, installing the VM manager to one of our servers via the ILMT dashboard (clicked on New+) and also installed VM manager manually on the remote box. Both operational status are okay with the local deployment type having a successful test connection, but there is no computer ID of the VM Manager Tool. The Distributed deployment type operation status is ok, but has not applied for the connection tests. It has a value of 1 for the computer ID.

In the capacity Scan Heatlh dashboard it shows one computer, but it is classified as No VM Manager Data. Under the hardware Inventory, the status shows No VM Manager Data. Clicking into those details brings up the Management: VM Managers dashboard with the status above.

Do I need to install a VM manager tool on each remote server? It appears I can connect using the ILMT dashboard install (local), but I don't get any returned data. The deployment type of distributed appears to work too, but I am not getting any results.

I have read through all available links.
