    Hi Chinnureddy,
    Please find the Java versions for different versions of Websphere.

    WAS 5.0 - J2SE 1.3 , J2EE 1.3
    WAS 5.1 – J2SE 1.4, J2EE 1.4
    WAS 6.0 - J2SE 1.4.2.X, J2EE 1.4
    WAS 6.1 – J2SE 1.5,J2EE 1.4
    WAS 7.X – J2EE 1.5 compliant – yet to come

    Go to directly to instlled location and type java -version command

    e.x C://Program Files//IBM//WebSphere//AppServer//_jvm//bin>java -version

    java version /"1.4.2/"
    Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2)
    Classic VM (build 1.4.2, J2RE 1.4.2 IBM Windows 32 build cn142sr1w-20041028 (JIT enabled: jitc))
