we are just thinking about versioning of business process applications. For processes it is easy to create a new version e.g. when the behavior of the process should change. I just assign a new model version. For tasks there does not seem to be such an option. How do I handle versioning of tasks? In a new process version the task business data might change and with it the UI.

Any ideas or project experience to share here?

Yes, you can by connecting your Designer to a subversion system (SVN)

I think you misunderstood my question. I mean running two versions of a task definition at the same time (at runtime). Of course we check in our Task project into a VCS.
