Using Transport Layer Security for CSSMTP

  • 1.  Using Transport Layer Security for CSSMTP

I have just started my research into using Transport Layer Security for CSSMTP.   When I enable secure mail, is this for all outgoing email or can the user choose if the message is secure or not?

In z/OS Communications Server: z/OS V2R4.0 Communications Server: IP Configuration Guide, Chapter 26. Mail on z/OS, I found the following statement:

"Configure CSSMTP to require secure communication. Configure the TargetServer statement with the Secure parameter set to YES, which specifies that TLS protocols are always required."

Is there a parameter a user may add to a batch job to enable or disable the use of encryption?
