Experts - is the new Microsoft Edge V79.0.309.65 compatible with Cognos Analytics V11.1.3? I'm part our internal testing group and want to make sure it works with our CA environment.  I didn't find anything in the IBM/Cognos product compatibility reports but that doesn't always mean no.  Since the product is based on chromium I thought it might still work.  Initial test it doesn't pass my windowsNT authentication on to the server.  It might be something else too.

Anyone have experience with this and what have you found.  Thanks in advance for your information

    Hi,
I have the same problem with new Edge and CA 11.1.2: login window appears and re-appears despite correct credentials and I can't sign in. Actually we are in upgrade phase so I tested on CA11.1.5  and there it works. We are using Edge 80.0.361.54.

You should always check the supported env page
    https://www.ibm.com/software/reports/compatibility/clarity-reports/report/html/prereqsForProduct?deliverableId=1A5815B061C611E982882C5D069DA07A#sw-14

Since ME Edge-Chromium was released after CA 11.1.3 I would say there is little chance of it being "supported"

Of course we are always checking supported env page. But there is not enough info. Before I came here I googled and there is no info about Cognos and Edge (Chromium). I found only this discussion so we are helping ourselves with this forum.
You see, you send a link to supported env page 11.1.3, there is:
    supported browsers
Microsoft Edge, "44 and future fix packs" and no notes

This is supported env page for today's latest Cognos 11.1.5:
    https://www.ibm.com/software/reports/compatibility/clarity-reports/report/html/prereqsForProduct?deliverableId=E32E9AD000BE11EABCF401BE73544226#sw-14, there is:
    supported browsers
Microsoft Edge, "44 and future fix packs" and no notes

It is the same information. And, what future fix packs means in this case?
IBM should publish some info on Cognos and Edge (Chromium) as soon as possible before this happens:
Microsoft will be pushing out the new Edge via Windows Update to the majority of Windows 10 users

    Hello again,
in my previous post I mentioned upgrade was solution to us but there were some background circumstances and later we figured out real solution in our case:
in IIS > ibmcognos (under Default Web Site) > Authentication > Windows Authentication > Providers: at the moment we have not configured Negotiate so we removed it, there is only NTLM left
After we did that new Edge chromium passes authentication using sso.
Chromium uses its own weights and I guess it is not accepting sort list of available providers on the server:
    https://www.chromium.org/developers/design-documents/http-authentication

    Credits also to BV.
