  • 1.  Use IBM Cognos Analytics for Personal Use

    Hi Everyone,

    I enrolled to one of the courses in Coursera where they teach you how to use Cognos. I'm still a student and I have subject regarding BI tools since I already have the experience to use cognos. I opt to use it for my project. But, the problem is its only a 30-day trial so I did upgrade it to the standard plan (monthly -$11.40). Next day, IBM emailed me that I can't use it since I don't have a business. 

    Is there like an option for students? I'm okay with the annual subscription but they said they can't change it.

    That's cool, I'm using it to exercise too.

    One question: in this version (CAOC Trial for Students) can I just connect to files as data sources? Or can I connect to a cloud DB?

    Hi Gustavo,
    You can connect to files that you upload or database(cloud or on-prem), even databases on your own computer(in essence on-prem).
