Upload Error - Unsuccessful server response code of: 500 (-200)

    Hi all,

I'm having this error way too often. I'm fixing a mapping file so all the Vendor Model flow through and I have to be constantly uploading a new file but every now and then this error appears and I don't know what to do and after a while it gets back to normal.

I thought it could be a Apptio error but other people don't have the same problem. Can someone tell me what is the problem and how to solve it quickly, please?

I just started getting this same error yesterday and it does not seem to be intermittent for me. I opened a ticket with Apptio Support and let them know it is affecting multiple customers.

We've been having issues with this error also, although since we done a reset and full cache clear they've been less frequent

I opened a ticket today reporting the issue. Maybe this way Apptio can work faster to solve it.

The 500 (-200) error typically appears when a user tries to check in a change to a table and that table's upload step is checked out in another workspace.

The majority of the time this happens when Datalink uploads new data to a table and is either in the process of checking in the upload OR the upload failed validation and needs manual intervention to validate the change and check in or revert the change, fix the data and then re-run the connector.

If you see this error, you will want to click on the environment selection drop-down and look for a datalink workspace "In Development(dl_svc_main@DomainName.com)" If you see one, you will want to check in or revert the uploads that failed validation before you will be able to check in the changes to that table in your workspace.

If you don't have a datalink workspace in the environment drop-down list, you will want to open a support case to get this issue investigated and resolved.

This seems to happen to me a lot, especially when I go to re-upload a table that is feeding into a number of master data tables. I deleted a table and then tried to re-upload, but because my master data tables were trying to read columns that no longer existed while trying to calculate the rest of the model leads it to thinking its checked out or something along those lines. I am letting my work space update/letting Apptio think through everything before trying to upload again.

This happens a lot - I've found that it happens more when I've checked a document in and DEV is calculated. I now wait for the calculation to finish for DEV and then try again

In my experience as with others on this thread, the issue is solved by checking all related tables into Apptio then checkout again and try the file upload again.

I have a Server 403- (200) error message when trying to load a new table. Another user as a table that is checked out that uses this table as a source table  -  could this be a reason why Apptio is kicking out the Data Load?

I have been getting the same errors for every data load that I do.  I have found that if I do the "Update Workspace" the load will then appear like it is supposed to.  That way I can double check that everything loaded correctly prior to checking anything in.  I was planning on getting some screen shots together today and opening a ticket about it also.  Glad to know that it isn't just my instance, I sometimes wonder if these issues only happen to me.
