    Hi,

    Currently we are on QRadar 77.4.3 FixPack 1 (Build 20210708143944), can i directly upgrade it to the latest available version? Also currently, i don't have HA, so if deploy HA, do i need to purchase separate license for it?

    Yes, any version of 7.4.3 GA (general availablility) to Fix Pack 9 can upgrade directly to QRadar 7.5.0 Update Package 6 per the release notes. A good method to find your version and release notes quickly and the download, is to go to the QRadar Software 101 page. You can drop your build number in to the search bar, then see your current version. 

    The 750-QRADAR-QRSIEM-2021.6.6.20230519190832 SFS file can upgrade the following QRadar versions to QRadar 7.5.0 Update Package 6:

    • QRadar 7.3.2 (All versions from Fix Pack 3 to Fix Pack 7)
    • QRadar 7.3.3 (All versions from GA to Fix Pack 10)
    • QRadar 7.4.0 (All versions from GA to Fix Pack 4)
    • QRadar 7.4.1 (All versions from GA to Fix Pack 2)
    • QRadar 7.4.2 (All versions from GA to Fix Pack 3)
    • QRadar 7.4.3 (All versions from GA to Fix Pack 9) 
    • QRadar 7.5.0 (All versions before Update Package 6)


    If you want to add HA to your deployment, you will need to talk to your IBM Sales rep. HA does require the additional appliances and 1:1 license match for compliance reasons or if installing on your own hardware, there is a RedHat license. This is not anything that would prevent you from installing HA today, but to be in compliance and not get audited or in trouble, your account would need to have the HA license reflected in it. The HA appliances does not need an Event/second license or Flows/minute license, as it inherits the license from the primary. However, your best option is to talk to your sales rep and discuss ensure you are covered. There are no licenses to upload, when you create an HA pair, it is mainly on the IBM side to ensure your accounts are covered and compliant. As these things do get occasionally checked when you open support cases.
