  • 1.  Upgrade MQ V9.0.5 on z/OS to V9.1.5

    Not sure if this the right place to ask the question, but I'd like to know if there is an APAR/PTF I can apply to upgrade MQ V9.0.5 on z/OS 2.3 to V9.1.5 ?

    Hi Dan,

    I'm afraid not. You would need to install 9.1.5 and migrate the queue manager over to it. However I suggest you hold off as MQ 9.2.0 for z/OS has been announced (https://www-01.ibm.com/common/ssi/cgi-bin/ssialias?infotype=an&subtype=ca&appname=gpateam&supplier=897&letternum=ENUS220-240) and will shortly be available so you would be better off going to that.

    Bear in mind that 9.2.0 comes out in both a CD and LTS variant. See https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSFKSJ_9.2.0/com.ibm.mq.pro.doc/q134150_.htm#q134150___simpcd which will make this sort of migration scenario simpler in the future.
